NORTH CONWAY, NH – Cooper Cargill Chant is pleased to announce the one year anniversary of Theresa Grisez (“Tracy”) joining the firm. Tracy practices primarily in the areas of probate administration, estate planning and family law. Tracy joined Cooper Cargill Chant mid-career, having had a successful prior career in Human Resources and Executive Management with a large (300 employee) orthopaedic practice in Annapolis, Maryland. Tracy has been a welcome addition at Cooper Cargill Chant. Partner Ken Cargill notes: “Tracy’s broad experience in human resources and business law, and in just dealing with people, will be so helpful in her legal career. She is used to reviewing situations and laws, advising people on their options and choices, and following up on them. This practical experience helps her and clients so much.”
Tracy graduated with high honors from the University of Baltimore Law School in 2018, and has since been admitted to the Bar in both Maine and New Hampshire. Tracy received the top score on the essay portion of the Maine Bar exam, making her the 2018 recipient of the prestigious Laurie A. Gibson award. Prior to law school, Tracy obtained a Master’s Degree in Legal and Ethical Studies and a Bachelor’s Degree in Jurisprudence from the University of Baltimore, graduating Summa Cum Laude from both programs. Tracy received the E. Halcott Turner award, having been selected by her professors as the Most Distinguished Graduate of her Jurisprudence Program.
Tracy has very much enjoyed her first year in the Mount Washington Valley. She is a graduate of the Mount Washington Valley Leadership Program, and is currently serving on the Board of Directors for Visiting Nurses Home Care and Hospice of Carroll County.
Tracy is married to husband Mark Chaput, who grew up in Scarborough, Maine. Tracy and Mark relocated from Maryland to West Baldwin, Maine in late 2017 to be closer to Mark’s family. In their free time, Tracy and Mark enjoy hiking, snow shoeing, and playing with their five dogs–two yellow labs, two rescue terriers and their new addition, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
